Job summary

Terracon in Fort Lauderdale seeks an entry-level Field/Lab Technician to assist with testing, observation, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel on active projects.

Under supervision, you will document results, prepare written and digital reports, transport samples with proper documentation, maintain and clean equipment, and follow all safety rules to protect the team and the public. This role provides on-site training and hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A valid driver's license may be required.
• Under supervision, learn and perform basic testing and observations.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Transport samples to the laboratory with associated documentation.
• Prepare and submit data and observation in written and digital reports.
• Maintain and clean equipment and adhere to safety standards.
• Be supervised and assist with scheduling and project coordination when applicable.
