Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Construction Materials Technician to perform field and lab testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and steel to help ensure projects are built safely and to the highest standards. You will work on diverse sites, collecting samples, documenting results, and supporting project teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, report documentation, equipment maintenance, and safety on every site, with opportunities to contribute to multiple projects and learn advanced testing methods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months experience required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing, inspections, and observations on construction materials.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, and contractors to support project success.
• Collect and transport material samples for additional testing and analysis.
• Document findings through detailed digital and written reports.
• Maintain equipment, vehicles, and workspaces for readiness on next tasks.
• Assist with coordinating technician schedules and project assignments.
• Champion a culture of safety on every project.
