Job summary

Terracon Consultants, Inc. in Tulsa is seeking a field/laboratory technician to perform testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials including soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt. You will collect samples, document findings, and help prepare reports for project managers on site.

Under supervision, you will maintain equipment, follow safety procedures, and support testing teams at various project sites, aiming to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months experience required.
• A valid driver's license with acceptable violation history may be required.
• Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.
• Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g. soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).
• Communicate with project manager, engineering technicians, client representative, contractor's representative and others regarding site testing, observation, and results.
• Transport material samples to the laboratory for testing and analysis.
• Prepare and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas.
• Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites as needed.
• Adhere to strict safety standards.
