Job summary

Great Dane in Kewanee, IL, seeks a Materials Supervisor to lead the hourly materials team in support of trailer and aftermarket production, from receipt and storage to replenishment and delivery to the line. You will also direct outbound shipments to aftermarket, sister plants and suppliers, coordinating spotter truck activity as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• 1–3 years of progressive responsibility in Supply Chain/Manufacturing.
• Experience with material flow, warehousing, receiving/shipping systems.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing and daily continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of material handlers to support daily production replenishment.
• Coordinate shipping, receiving and warehouse activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory within assigned areas and support year-end inventory.
• Provide safety training and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies.
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure Lean/BIQ processes and address defects.
