Job summary

DTNA is seeking a Materials Supervisor to lead the movement of materials across operations and to support production. You will supervise shipping/receiving, storage, and sequencing while driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements.

Responsibilities include tracking KPI metrics, managing staffing and overtime, and implementing Lean practices with the TOS group. The role requires strong collaboration and continuous improvement mindset in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in business admin or logistics; 4 years relevant experience preferred or 6+ years leading teams in manufacturing/logistics.
• Demonstrated teamwork skills, including cross-functional collaboration.
• A full understanding of operations (production, quality, facilities, materials).
• Project Management
• Microsoft Office (including MS Project)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead shipping/receiving processes, material storage, kitting, sequencing, delivery, expediting, disposition, auditing, and other materials activities required to support production and inventory control processes.
• Drive improvement in safety, quality, delivery, cost, morale, and environmental performance while developing team member skills and capabilities within the Materials Department.
• Track time and absenteeism daily for shop floor employees utilizing Kronos.
• Track, analyze, and manage the materials scorecard to ensure operational success and reduce shortages and disruptions.
• Manage HPV (Hours per Vehicle) through manpower planning, overtime management, and job balancing activities.
• Understand, support, and implement Lean Manufacturing concepts with TOS group to improve efficiency and eliminate waste.
• Support and implement company programs, policies, and procedures focused on improving efficiencies, reducing costs, and enhancing operational performance.
• Conduct daily and weekly safety inspections and document ideas, concerns, and improvement opportunities within Enablon Safety Database.
• Participate in selection, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, and corrective action processes for employees within the department.
• Analyze departmental performance metrics and prepare summarized reports and recommendations for management.
