Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Materials & SIOP Leader to drive the materials transformation for the SBU, coordinating across manufacturing and distribution to meet cash flow targets and improve customer service. The role supports lean operating models, PFEP execution, and end-to-end material flow optimization.

The position can be located at several North American sites, including Hastings, NE, with up to 50–75% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain or business; MBA desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maturity and deployment of the SBU Materials/SIOP Management System across sites.
• Partner with plant materials, operations, and supply chain teams to improve inventory turns and order fill rates.
• Architect and implement lean material flow solutions (pull systems, kanban, point-of-use).
• Support Value Stream Analysis and Operational Excellence transformations focused on end-to-end material flow.
• Lead management for materials to resolve flow constraints affecting TAKT, delivery, and inventory turns.
• Redesign warehouse-to-line and supplier-to-line replenishment models to cut waste and shortages.
• Establish and monitor key materials metrics like inventory turns and on-time delivery.
• Standardize best practices across facilities and sustain lean implementations.
