Job summary

Trane Technologies is hiring a Materials Supervisor for La Crosse, Wisconsin. You will oversee materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and material movement, while supervising staff to meet operational objectives.

The role emphasizes developing systems for receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping, along with implementing policy and process improvements. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with 5+ years of related experience in manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 5+ years of related experience required in lieu of degree.
• Experience in manufacturing operations, and leadership.
• Experience with rate-based or flow line (non-MRP) and job shop manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Achieve warehouse operational objectives through the contribution of warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
• Meet warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
• Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, and creates processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
• Continuous development, implementation, enforcement, and evaluation of policies and procedures.
• Create warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems; evaluating and recommending new equipment.
• Establish warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout, and implementing changes.
• Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
