Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an experienced Materials & SIOP Leader to drive the materials transformation across manufacturing and distribution. You will collaborate with plant materials managers and direct reports to improve inventory turns, on‑time shipping, and service levels while aligning with cash flow targets.

This role offers locations at multiple North‑American sites, including Davidson, NC, and requires travel up to 50–75%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain or business; MBA desirable.
• 7–10 years’ experience in materials management, operations, supply chain planning, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing.
• Operational continuous improvement (i.e. six sigma and/or lean manufacturing).

Responsibilities

• Lead the maturity and deployment of the SBU Materials / SIOP Management System across sites.
• Partner with plant materials, operations, and supply chain teams to design inventory reduction strategies.
• Architect and implement lean material flow solutions (pull systems, kanban, PFEP, etc.).
• Support end‑to‑end material flow optimization and Plan for Every Part execution.
• Lead management to identify and eliminate material flow constraints impacting TAKT and on‑time shipping.
• Redesign warehouse‑to‑line and supplier‑to‑line replenishment models to reduce waste and shortages.
• Establish and drive accountability for materials performance metrics (inventory turns, on‑time delivery).
• Standardize best practices across facilities and sustain lean materials solutions.
