Job summary

Trane Supply is seeking a Materials & SIOP Leader to drive the materials transformation across manufacturing and distribution, collaborating with plant materials managers and their teams to improve cash flow and service levels. The role requires deploying a mature SBU Materials / SIOP system and leading inventory-reduction initiatives worldwide.

Location flexibility across North America and travel up to 50–75% are involved, with Davidson, NC as a preferred base.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in materials management, operations, supply chain planning, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing.
• Operational continuous improvement (i.e. six sigma and/or lean manufacturing).
• APICS CPIM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maturity and deployment of the SBU Materials / SIOP Management System across sites, including coaching and implementation of BOS standards.
• Partner with plant materials, operations, and supply chain teams to design and execute inventory reduction strategies that improve turns and customer service.
• Architect and implement lean material flow solutions (pull systems, kanban, supermarkets, point-of-use inventory, sequenced delivery, and kitting).
• Support PFEP execution and end-to-end material flow optimization to achieve one-piece flow and line-side replenishment.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to redesign warehouse-to-line and supplier-to-line replenishment models to reduce waste and shortages.
