Job summary

American Flowform and Machining seeks a Material Program Manager to coordinate material flow, POs, and in-house production orders to meet schedules. You will collaborate with purchasing, production, supply chain, quality, and outside service providers to resolve delays impacting program timelines.

This role requires 2-5 years in manufacturing, strong ERP/MRP skills, and US citizenship due to ITAR/EAR considerations.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, production, purchasing, inventory, logistics, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and use an ERP/MRP system.
• U.S. citizenship required due to federal contracts and ITAR/EAR data.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production schedules and internal work order status.
• Track materials and parts needed for production.
• Follow up with suppliers and outside service providers on late or incomplete deliveries.
• Identify potential shortages or production delays before they impact program schedule.
• Maintain an active line of balance outlining WIP across critical steps of the program workflow.
• Expedite critical materials and purchase orders.
• Communicate changes in priorities and delivery dates to program management and appropriate teams.
• Maintain accurate records of work order status, inventory, and expected deliveries.
• Ensure materials are available when required.
• Investigate discrepancies, shortages, and delayed shipments.
• Report status to operations, leadership, and program management.
• Help prioritize work orders based on production requirements.
• Use ERP/MRP systems (JobBoss preferred) to track orders and inventory.
