Job summary

Therm-x of California in Hayward, CA is seeking a Materials Manager to lead procurement, inventory planning, and supplier relations. You will coordinate with Purchasing, Accounting and Quality teams to optimize costs, on‑time delivery (OTD) and performance.

The role includes supporting ERP implementation, KPI reporting and KPI-driven process improvements. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in procurement/planning leadership, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of leadership in a Procurement/Planning environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials, supplies, and equipment for production.
• Support transition to a new ERP system and set standards.
• Train and mentor staff to improve purchasing and warehouse efficiency.
• Develop and track KPIs; provide management feedback and actions.
• Plan inventory levels and manage stock availability.
• Monitor supply chain for timely delivery and cost effectiveness.
• Develop supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
• Evaluate new sourcing opportunities to reduce costs.
• Forecast material requirements with production and adjust schedules.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers.
