Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Materials Manager to lead end-to-end materials planning, procurement, and vendor management for a product line. The role requires hands-on leadership in a lean, fast-paced environment and close collaboration with Sales, Quality, and Production to forecast demand and secure material availability.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in materials management or supply chain, strong ERP/MRP experience, and a track record of cross-functional leadership and cost reduction

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement, vendor management, and raw material planning for a dedicated product line
• Collaborate with Sales and Quality to align material availability with 6-9 month forecasts
• Resolve vendor issues and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Manage inventory levels, reorder points, and shipping/receiving coordination
• Supervise a team including a dedicated buyer, shared planner, and expeditors
• Support hiring, training, and performance management within the department
• Drive cost savings initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards

The Materials Manager is a key member of a cross-functional product line team, responsible for end-to-end materials planning, procurement, and vendor management. The role requires a hands-on, collaborative leader who thrives in a lean, entrepreneurial environment and is deeply involved in forecasting, raw material planning, and cross-departmental coordination with Sales, Quality, and Production.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable in a flat, fast-paced organization where team members wear multiple hats
