Job summary

SurgCenter of Plano, part of USPI, is seeking a Materials Manager / Scrub Tech for weekday operations at our ambulatory surgery center. This role involves inventory control, procurement, and collaboration with clinical teams to ensure efficient supply flow.

Experience as a Scrub Tech/CST is highly preferred to optimize instrument knowledge and support surgical workflows in a multi-specialty setting.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum receiving and inventory experience in a health care environment.
• Previous Scrub Tech/CST experience in a multi-specialty surgical environment.
• Knowledge of computer inventory management systems, various software programs and medical products.
• Working knowledge of stocking and storing medical and non-medical supplies.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Research pricing and quotes for medical equipment and supplies used in the facility.
• Maintains files and is familiar with procurement requirements to acquire, inventory and dispose of medical equipment, supplies, or products.
• Maintains adequate inventory levels by checking shelves, automated systems and establishes par levels.
• Interfaces with departments to ensure proper placement, follow up and delivery of orders.
• Responsible for Utility Management Program and facility upkeep like oxygen, vacuum pumps, air filters, and alarms.
• Interacts with sales reps to resolve issues related to supplies or delivery of supplies.
• Maintains document flow for the automated inventory system.
