Job summary

SurgCenter of Plano, a partner of USPI, seeks a Materials Manager with Scrub Tech experience to manage purchasing, inventory control, and supplier relations for an outpatient surgical setting.

Weekdays only with no holidays, weekends, or on-call requirements. The role supports efficient supply delivery and optimal operating room readiness across ENT, pain management, podiatry, and other specialties.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Two years minimum receiving and inventory experience in a health care environment.
• Previous Scrub Tech/CST experience in a multi-specialty surgical environment.
• Knowledge of computer inventory management systems and medical products.
• Working knowledge of stocking and storing medical and non-medical supplies.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Researches and obtains pricing/quotes for medical equipment and supplies.
• Maintains files and procurement requirements for USPI.
• Maintains inventory levels and par levels.
• Interfaces with departments for placement, follow up, and delivery of orders.
• Responsible for Utility Management Program and facility maintenance knowledge.
• Interacts with sales representatives to resolve issues related to supplies.
• Maintains automated inventory system documentation and updates.
• Receives all incoming supply and equipment items.
• Checks dated items and rotates stock.
• Implements and maintains inventory system facets.
• Scrub Tech experience preferred due to knowledge of surgical procedures and instruments.
