Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Materials Manager in Houston to oversee materials planning, supplier forecasting, purchasing, and inventory management, ensuring uninterrupted production. You will coordinate with Materials, Operations, Procurement, and other key functions to resolve supplier issues and meet BU demand.

The role requires experience with MRP/ERP systems, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate with executives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure materials are available on the shop floor for continuous production.
• Manage component forecast, PO placement, and inventory to meet BU demand.
• Establish and maintain communications within Materials group and with BU and Factory.
• Ensure KPIs are set and followed to avoid exposures to the BU.
• Address supplier invoice issues (IQL) promptly to mitigate exposures.
• Support NPI purchasing activities to align with BU timelines.
