Job summary

Solmax Houston Plant is seeking an Inventory/Materials Coordinator to manage raw material planning, receiving, and inventory control. The role ensures materials are available for production and that records are accurate.

You will work with purchasing, production planning, and logistics, perform periodic inventory counts, and maintain dashboards. Strong Excel and ERP experience are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; AS degree preferred.
• Five (5) years of production and inventory control experience or related experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing resource planning (MRP) a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs; Axapta experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning forecast and advise purchasing of raw materials each month.
• Receive raw materials.
• Receive MRO items.
• Review production schedules to determine if current inventory can be used. Reserve rolls as applicable.
• Coordinate and delegate special order requests, ensure material availability, and communicate production possibilities as required.
• Coordinate and engage in Quarterly and Annual physical inventory.
• Manage inventory and make necessary corrections.
• Update weekly inventory statistics on materials dashboard.
• Back-up logistics clerk
• Performs other duties as assigned.
