Job summary

Advanced Containment Systems, Inc. is seeking a Materials Manager in Houston to plan and manage material flow, inventory, and supplier coordination to support production and on-time delivery.

You will optimize inventory levels, collaborate with Operations, Procurement, and Engineering, and drive cost-effective material handling while maintaining accuracy and ERP data integrity. Candidates should have 3+ years of materials management experience in a manufacturing setting and strong Excel/ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of materials management, inventory control, supply chain, production planning, procurement, or logistics experience.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, ERP/MRP, purchasing processes, and warehouse operations.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage material plans to support production schedules and customer demand.
• Monitor inventory levels to minimize excess and obsolete stock while maintaining accuracy.
• Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and material availability.
• Support production planning and engineering changes with required materials and lead times.
• Monitor KPIs like inventory turns and on-time delivery; drive continuous improvement.
