Job description

Coordinates, administers, implements, and assists in the development of the supply support system to operate efficiently and meet the needs of patients and the Materials Management Department.

Acts as a buyer for non-contract items and services.

1. Performs replenishment of stocked supplies to ensure sufficient availability.
2. Ensures timely, accurate, and efficient picking and staging of requisitions. Handles requisitioning, inspecting, receiving, and stocking inventory items to maintain appropriate par levels. Assembles, repackages, or replenishes kits, components, and carts.
3. Performs scheduled pick-ups and delivery of medical equipment to ensure availability.
4. Operates computers, computerized equipment, peripherals, and materials handling equipment. Duties include assembling, disassembling, and labeling shelving and storage units.
5. Monitors supplies for proper labeling, expiration dates, and packaging integrity.
6. Requisitions, receives, and stocks supplies for assigned areas.
7. Meets department and Materials Management budgetary goals and performance indicators.
8. Coordinates requisitions, receipts, and returns for assigned areas following established policies.
9. Utilizes hardware and software proficiently.
10. Participates in product evaluations and changes for assigned areas.
11. Supports and acts as a Buyer, coordinating pricing and selection of non-contract items and services with vendors. Maintains vendor access policies.
12. Assists in training and mentoring team members.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum four (4) years in healthcare materials management, computerized inventory, or purchasing preferred.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team, proficiency in Microsoft Office and spreadsheets, familiarity with procurement and inventory systems, ability to work independently, perform repetitive tasks, and adapt to a changing environment with tight deadlines.
