A leading research institute in Warner Robins, Georgia is seeking a Materials Laboratory Technician to support the Air Force's fabrication and technologies efforts. The role involves operating lab equipment, managing samples, and ensuring adherence to standards. This position is located in Warner Robins, Georgia, and will serve as a materials laboratory technician for the Air Force Metals Fabrication and Technologies Office (AFMFTO). Responsibilities include setting up, operating, and maintaining laboratory equipment, managing consumable inventory and procurement, preparing and tracking material samples, and adhering to lab and equipment guidelines. The successful candidate will understand materials testing equipment and techniques per ISO and ASTM Standards, conduct experiments, and collect data with minimal supervision. Most work will support government customers, with some support for industry partners.
