This position is located at Warner Robins, Georgia and will serve as a materials laboratory technician for the Air Force Metals Fabrication and Technologies Office (AFMFTO). Responsibilities include setting up, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, managing consumable inventory and procurement, preparing and tracking material samples, and adhering to lab and equipment guidelines. The successful candidate will understand materials testing equipment and testing techniques per ISO and ASTM Standards. Conduct experiments and collect data with minimal supervision. Most work supports government clients, with some support for industry partners.
