Position Summary

The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician is a staff-level opportunity at MultiCare, assisting with manipulative and non-discretionary functions of pharmacy practice. You will use your organizational skills and attention to detail for successful daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ordering supplies from wholesalers and direct accounts, verifying items received against invoices.
• Store received items and maintain stock levels, including dating and initialing invoices and packing slips.
• Enter customer medication and billing information into the computer system.
• Answer and screen telephone calls and forward as needed.
• Perform extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Washington State Department of Health.
• Successful completion of the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (preferred).
• Retail pharmacy experience (retail only).
