Job summary

VIAVI Solutions is seeking a Material Coordinator in Paeonian Springs, VA to handle shipping, receiving, storing and distributing merchandise and materials. You will check goods against purchase orders, maintain records, and prepare shipments with weights and documentation.

You will maintain ERP inventory records, conduct cycle counts, coordinate with production, procurement and shipping to optimize material flow, and report shortages or issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years in materials, warehousing, or logistics.
• Experience with ERP inventory management (SAP/Oracle).
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, store, and issue raw materials, components, and finished goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and data entry.
• Prepare materials for production orders with labeling.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and shipping to optimize flow.
• Identify shortages, damaged goods, or quality issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement of inventory and handling processes.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
• Package finished products for shipment with proper labels.
