Job summary

Viasat is seeking a Materials Specialist to manage inventory controls and cycle counts for timely customer deliverables. You will source inventory requests from Operations, Planning, Test, and Engineering to ensure schedules stay on track, while contributing to cross-functional improvement projects across the company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of material control and physical inventory maintenance.
• Experience with warehouse inventory stocking, receipt processing and consumption practices in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating powered industrial trucks (forklifts and reach lifts).
• Experience using the Oracle Inventory and Manufacturing modules with projected data.
• Proficient with Hazardous Material handling and storage.
• Prominent level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cycle counts.
• Monitor and perform systematic inventory transactions.
• Process inbounding materials from Receiving to Stockroom locations.
• Review and process material requests via electronic templates or assigned work on mobile RF devices.
