Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Materials Supervisor to oversee the Market Place, MMC Warehouse, Receiving, docks, and storage areas. You will supervise a defined team and ensure material handling, inventory transactions, and distribution align with production priorities.

Lead process improvements, generate KPI dashboards, and coordinate with Operations, Engineering, and Procurement to resolve issues and support launches. Strong leadership and MRP/ERP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with five years' experience or equivalent.
• 5+ years of front-line supervisory experience in a high-volume environment.
• Experience supervising material handling, warehouse, receiving, dock, inventory control.
• Detailed understanding of MRP/ERP or inventory control systems.
• Knowledge of FIFO, Kanban, Min/Max, and visual inventory systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 10-15 direct reports across Market Place, MMC Warehouse, Receiving, docks and storage areas.
• Train staff to ensure accurate inventory transactions, deliveries, staging, storage, and system updates.
• Manage material flow across production, procurement, distributors, suppliers, and transfers to support availability.
• Maintain inventory accuracy via cycle counts, physical inventories, audits, and reconciliations.
• Create reports, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor shortages and usage trends.
• Maintain organized storage using 5S, FIFO, Kanban, and Min/Max recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on layout, reports, new SKUs, ECNs, and launches.
• Support Kaizen, 5S, visual management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist Materials Manager and escalate complex issues as needed.
