Job summary

Revere-Plastics-Systems is seeking a Materials Supervisor to lead the Materials department in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role oversees shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, and material flow to ensure production has the right materials, in the right quantity, at the right location, at the right time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years in manufacturing materials, warehouse operations, logistics, shipping/receiving, or supply chain.
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience supervising forklift, tugger, material handler, or warehouse personnel.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing material flow and production support.
• Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, and warehouse management.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and barcode/scanning processes.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kanban, or similar CI methods preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and respond effectively to changing production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the Materials team to support production.
• Ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
• Manage line-side material flow to keep lines supplied.
• Coordinate material replenishment with forklifts and tuggers.
• Establish efficient material routes and staging areas.
• Monitor shortages and prevent line stoppages.
• Respond to material issues and coordinate recovery plans.
• Ensure proper identification, labeling, storage, and protection.
• Support FIFO/FEFO where applicable.
• Identify opportunities to reduce handling, inventory, and waste.
• Oversee daily warehouse operations: receiving, storage, picking, replenishment.
• Maintain organized warehouse for safe, efficient flow.
• Monitor capacity and optimize storage.
• Ensure accurate movement between receiving, warehouse, production, shipping.
• Maintain control of WIP and finished goods.
• Assist with layout and flow improvements.
• Oversee receiving and shipping activities and ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with carriers and internal departments.
• Investigate discrepancies and adjust processes.
• Maintain safety and PPE adherence.
• Lead continuous improvement via Lean/Kaizen.
