Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a Material Flow Engineer in Hawthorne, CA, to optimize receiving, storage, movement, and presentation of materials for all programs. Responsibilities include design of flow, layout planning, and data-driven improvements, with emphasis on lean principles and collaboration across engineering and production teams.

You will develop packaging, analyze flows with Excel/Tableau/SQL, and ensure safety and efficiency in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 1+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing environments (internships/school projects count).
• Demonstrated leadership driving projects in an industrial setting.
• Strong analytical and data-analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize material flow from receipt to lineside and reverse logistics.
• Plan layouts for material flow and storage to achieve target inventory and density.
• Develop resource plans using lean principles; model labor/equipment needs.
• Create cost-effective packaging and rack solutions and coordinate with vendors/teams.
• Analyze data using Excel/Tableau/SQL to drive improvements and reporting.
