Job summary

K&A Power Group in Augusta, Maine is seeking an Expeditor, Materials Specialist to source materials, issue POs, track deliveries, and ensure timely availability for project sites and storage. You will verify BOMs, identify suppliers, analyze lead times, acknowledge orders, and maintain clear communication with Project Managers.

The role requires 5+ years in materials management, CPIM preferred, and proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word; SAP and utility-industry experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred.
• Five (5) years of experience in Materials Management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel and Word.
• SAP Experience Preferred.
• Experience in Utility Industry Preferred.
• Must be a Maine resident.

Responsibilities

• Supports Project Manager, Construction Manager and Commission Manager sourcing materials, issuing purchase orders, tracking, expediting, managing materials and equipment manufacturing process and delivery to storage areas and project site.
• Verification of Bill of Materials
• Supplier Identification
• Commodity Lead Time Analysis
• Order Acknowledgements
• Communication to Project Managers regarding material schedules.
• Quality control
