K&A Power Group in Augusta, Maine is seeking an Expeditor, Materials Specialist to support project teams with materials management, purchasing, and expediting for power utility and industrial projects. You will work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery and quality control on critical materials.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent experience, 5 years in materials management, and proficiency with MS Project, Excel, and Word.

Qualifications

• CPIM certification preferred
• Five (5) years of experience in Materials Management

Role Expectations

• Supports Project Manager, Construction Manager and Commission Manager sourcing materials, issuing purchase orders, tracking, expediting, managing materials and equipment manufacturing process and delivery to storage areas and project site.
• Verification of Bill of Materials
• Supplier Identification
• Commodity Lead Time Analysis
• Order Acknowledgements
• Expediting delivery
• Materials Management
• Communication to Project Managers regarding material schedules.
• Quality control
• Vendor Damage Claim Management

What We’re Looking For

• Associate degree or Equivalent Experience
• Certificate in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred
• Five (5) years of experience in Materials Management
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel and Word
• SAP Experience Preferred
• Experience in Utility Industry Preferred
• Must be a Maine resident

Pay Range $70,000-$75,000/annually

The salary range for this role considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to technical ability, experience and training, licenses and certifications, and other related skillsets. The disclosed range is an estimate and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
