Job summary

K&A Power Group in Augusta, Maine, seeks a Materials Logistics Procurement Coordinator to drive procurement activities for major energy projects. You will coordinate with PMO, engineering, construction, and expediting teams to issue POs, manage supplier relations, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

The role emphasizes strong communication, Excel expertise, and the ability to handle competing priorities in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of Procurement and/or Supply Chain experience.
• CPMSM preferred.
• MS Excel: pivot tables, VLOOKUP and other functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare RFPs with the Project Team and key stakeholders.
• Create purchase requisition templates for framework and delegated purchases.
• Manage procurement database for unreleased items and framework purchases.
• Assist with procurement documents, evaluations, and change orders.
• Coordinate procurement milestones with project schedulers & document control.
• Verify project funds availability and support sourcing activities.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Materials Logistics Procurement Coordinator to join our team at K&A Power Group in Augusta, Maine. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. • Prepare RFP (Request for Proposal) in conjunction with the Project Team. This will require cooperation with PMO, Project Managers, Engineering, Construction Managers and Expediting.
• Prepare purchase requisition templates for framework purchases, competitively bid procurements, sole sourced procurements and delegated purchases.
• Manage procurement database in 3P for unreleased procurement items and all delegated and framework purchases.
• Assist Project Management with preparation of company mandated procurement documents. These documents serve the purpose of informing upper management and the internal procurement department of pending. procurements, providing technical evaluation of procurements in process, providing justification for sole sourced purchases, historical comparisons, and change order processing.
• Coordinate with Project Schedulers to manage new and in process procurements and provide date management for procurement milestones as related to the project schedule.
• Coordinate with Document Control to make sure all appropriate project procurement documents are stored in document control database.
• Verify availability of project funds as related to current and future purchases.
• Supports Project Manager, Construction Manager and Commission Manager sourcing materials, issuing purchase orders, tracking, expediting, managing materials and equipment manufacturing process and delivery to storage areas and project site.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Business or Equivalent Experience
• Five (5) years of Procurement and/or Supply Chain Experience
• Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred
• MS Excel Expertise. (Microsoft Excel utilization of pivot tables, v lookup, algorithms, and excel other functions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Experience in SAP is preferred
• Ability to work effectively with competing priorities and stressful situations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Hybrid Schedule

Pay Range $80,000-$90,000/year
