Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Materials Control Specialist to join a small, collaborative team supporting engineering and construction projects in Tulsa, OK. This contract role offers exposure to supply chain, procurement, materials management, and accounting-related functions.

You will coordinate material orders, create purchase orders, work with suppliers, and maintain detailed records to ensure on-time delivery and accurate documentation. Strong attention to detail and data-entry skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• 02 years of related experience, making this a strong opportunity for recent graduates.
• Accounting education or experience is a big plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to stay focused while handling repetitive, detail-heavy work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the ordering and delivery of materials and equipment for engineering projects
• Create and maintain purchase orders, requisitions, receiving reports, and material documentation
• Work with suppliers to resolve order, delivery, pricing, and documentation issues
• Track materials and equipment to ensure they arrive on schedule
• Review vendor quotes and assist with procurement activities
• Maintain accurate records and perform high-volume data entry
• Reconcile purchase orders and correct discrepancies
• Communicate with engineering, procurement, project management, suppliers, and construction teams
• Help ensure materials and documentation stay organized throughout the project lifecycle
