Job summary

Allient Inc. is seeking a dynamic Materials and Logistics Manager to lead purchasing, inventory control, warehouse planning and distribution for the Tulsa, OK location.

The role oversees procurement, production scheduling and logistics to ensure uninterrupted material flow. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in materials and logistics procurement within manufacturing, with at least 5 years of supervisory experience and knowledge of D365 ERP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business or materials management.
• MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in materials and logistics procurement in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• D365 Experience
• Demonstrated background with strategic supply chain management and planning related to DFARS & FARS.
• APICS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates purchasing, expediting, scheduling, shipping, receiving and inventory control to support uninterrupted material flow.
• Plan logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services including delivery methods and storage.
• Maintain reports and organized inventory records.
• Develop and implement materials handling procedures; monitor costs and resource efficiency.
• Liaise with managers across sales, production, and engineering to meet material needs.
• Research and select suppliers; develop vendor relations; negotiate terms.
• Work with QA and vendors to improve material quality and reduce defects.
• Review engineering change notices for impact on purchased materials and make changes as needed.
• Manage purchasing, materials and inventory control functions and production scheduling.
• Lead strategic procurement initiatives aligned with company goals.
