Job summary

Raytheon Technologies in McKinney, TX is seeking a Material and Process Engineer I to support material analytical testing, packaging and handling identification, and documentation updates. You will work cross-functionally with program leads, engineers, and production to handle a variety of material inquiries and perform data-driven design improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM major by start date.
Experience with material analytical instrument.
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

Support material analytical testing, packaging and handling identification, and material documentation updates.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Material and Process Program leads, Program Engineers, and Production representatives to address material inquiries.
Perform empirical material testing to mimic program use-case conditions and data-driven design ameliorations.
Resolve day-to-day technical problems on production lines to minimize disruption.
Verify materials against drawings, specifications, and program applications; complete drawing designs as required to facilitate engineering.
