Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a materials engineer in McKinney, TX to support material analytical testing, documentation, and process improvements. You will work onsite with senior engineers and production teams on material verification against drawings and specifications.

The role requires a STEM degree and experience with analytical instruments, CAD, and data analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or related (STEM) major obtained by start date.
Experience with material analytical instrument.
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

Support material analytical testing, documentation update, and handling identification.
Work cross-functionally with Material and Process Program leads, Program Engineers, and Production representatives on material inquiries.
Perform empirical material testing that mimics program use-case conditions and initiate data-driven improvements.
Resolve day-to-day technical problems on production lines to minimize disruption.
Conduct a wide array of materials verification for compliance with drawings, specifications, and program applications.
Completes drawing designs as required to facilitate the engineering process.
