RTX's Materials and Process Engineering team in McKinney, TX seeks a Senior Material and Process Engineer to lead material management, specification creation, and process improvement. You will collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and programs to resolve producibility issues.

This onsite role requires a university degree, 5+ years in materials, and strong technical writing; U.S. citizenship is required. RTX offers comprehensive benefits and incentive programs.

Qualifications

• University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience.
• Experience with interpreting technical datasheets, Mil-Standard and ASTM
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access required information
• High level of professional technical writing skills
• In-depth knowledge in material characteristics, material application, material selection and material design selection.
• An advanced degree
• Proficient in presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Demonstrated problem solving skills with data-driven approaches

Responsibilities

• Responsible for material management in Common Product Data Management (cPDM), this includes gear part and material drawing maintenance, and all aspects of sustainment activities.
• Identify, evaluate and recommend material & process improvements to meet new product requirements.
• Responsible for material and process specification creation and maintenance
• Be a part of rapid response team that address factory manufacture process interruption due to M&P specification issue
