RTX's Materials and Process Engineering team in McKinney, TX seeks a Senior Material and Process Engineer to lead material management, specification creation, and process improvement. You will collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and programs to resolve producibility issues.

This onsite role requires a university degree, 5+ years in materials, and strong technical writing; U.S. citizenship is required. RTX offers comprehensive benefits and incentive programs.

Qualifications

• University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience.
• Experience with interpreting technical datasheets, Mil-Standard and ASTM
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access required information
• High level of professional technical writing skills
• In-depth knowledge in material characteristics, material application, material selection and material design selection.
• An advanced degree
• Proficient in presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Demonstrated problem solving skills with data-driven approaches

We have an exciting opportunity for Senior Material and Process Engineer to join our Material and Process (M&M) team supporting varieties of product lines in North Texas Region. The engineer will be primarily responsible for material and process specification creations, material gear part creations, material managements, packaging and handling code specification, and incoming shelf-life-controlled material verifications. The engineer will work with a cross functional team including manufacture engineers, supply chains, operation value stream, and program authority to resolve pressing technical design and producibility issues.

The Material and Process Engineering team within McKinney, TX drives business success by providing engineering expertise to solve today’s problems in multiple domains. The material engineering discipline serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the material characteristic in terms of hardware compatibility, operation endurance, manufacture environment adaptability and many aspects of producibility incorporation.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
