Job summary

Adecco is partnering with a great client in Windom MN to hire a Material Planner for a contract opportunity with a great company. The role focuses on planning and procuring materials to meet production schedules, while managing POs, delivery timelines, and material adjustments.

You will coordinate inbound logistics, resolve shortages with suppliers and internal teams, perform inventory analysis, and support production control functions. Safety compliance is emphasized throughout the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two year post high school education from a vocational technical school or college in business administration, accounting or related field or a minimum of 2 years direct experience in inventory control, materials management or traffic operations preferred.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and procure materials based on production schedules, inventory targets, and system requirements.
• Manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and material adjustments resulting from engineering or demand changes.
• Coordinate inbound material logistics to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of production parts.
• Resolve material shortages by working with suppliers and cross-functional teams to address supply, quality, and production issues.
• Perform inventory analysis, system adjustments, cycle count requests, and related compliance activities.
• Support production control functions, including material setup, inventory tracking, product changes, and obsolete material management.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and external suppliers to maintain material availability and meet production schedules.
• Follow all safety policies and actively participate in workplace safety initiatives.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
