Job summary

Harbor Steel & Supply Corporation is seeking a dependable Material Loader to join our Lexington, KY team. You’ll prepare orders, load materials onto trucks, and keep shipments moving safely and on time.

Responsibilities include verifying items, operating cranes and forklifts, using tape measures and calipers, and following safety procedures. A strong work ethic and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant training preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
• Current certification or ability to become certified to operate cranes and forklifts.
• Ability to use measuring tools (tape measure, micrometers, calipers).
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Willingness to perform various warehouse duties and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Follow established pulling and staging procedures.
• Verify material pulled and tagged correctly.
• Ensure bills of lading are completed accurately.
• Operate cranes and forklifts safely and efficiently.

• Follow written instructions and safety procedures.
• Assist with other warehouse functions as needed.
• Work as part of a team to keep material moving safely.

What You'll Do

As a Material Loader, you’ll play a critical role in making sure our customers receive the right material, properly loaded, and ready to arrive on time. You’ll work closely with our warehouse and production teams to safely and accurately prepare customer orders for shipment.

• Loading steel and other materials onto trucks in the correct route-specific order
• Following established pulling and staging procedures

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications
