Job summary

Harbor Steel is seeking a Material Loader to support loading materials onto trucks in route-specific order and to ensure correct tagging and bill of lading completion.

Ideal candidates have product knowledge, ability to lift 50 lbs, and crane/forklift certification, with a high school diploma or equivalent. This full-time on-site role offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

POSITION TITLE: MATERIAL LOADER

A Material Loader is responsible for the loading of trucks.

POSITION REPORTS TO

Site specific (Plant Superintendent, Shift Supervisor, Production Manager and/or Warehouse Manager)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load material on trucks in route-specific order
• Understanding of pulling and staging process
• Ensure material has been pulled and tagged correctly
• Ensure bill of lading is completed accurately

QUALIFICATIONS

• Product knowledge
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Certified to operate crane and forklift
• Ability to use tape measure, micrometers, and calipers
• Ability to follow written instructions
• Ability to perform other warehouse functions as necessary
• High school diploma, training and/or equivalent experience

OTHER RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to pass drug test
• Ability to work shifts mandated by management
