Job summary

Harbor Steel & Supply Corporation seeks a dedicated Material Loader to support truck loading operations at our West Virginia facility. Responsibilities include pulling, tagging, and completing the bill of lading with precision, while maintaining strict safety standards and timely deliveries.

You will work with a team that emphasizes reliability, hands-on crane and forklift qualifications, and adherence to route-specific loading orders, providing opportunities for growth within our metals service

Responsibilities

POSITION TITLE: MATERIAL LOADER

A Material Loader is responsible for the loading of trucks.

POSITION REPORTS TO

Site specific (Plant Superintendent, Shift Supervisor, Production Manager and/or Warehouse Manager)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Load material on trucks in route-specific order
• Understanding of pulling and staging process
• Ensure material has been pulled and tagged correctly
• Ensure bill of lading is completed accurately

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Product knowledge
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Certified to operate crane and forklift
• Ability to use tape measure, micrometers, and calipers
• Ability to follow written instructions

Ability To Perform Other Warehouse Functions As Necessary

High school diploma, training and/or equivalent experience

REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

• Steel-toe safety shoes
• Gloves
• Hard Hat
• Safety Glasses

OTHER RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to pass drug test
• Ability to work shifts mandated by management
