Job summary

Hillman Group is seeking a Material Handler in Cincinnati, OH to move materials and finished products throughout the facility using powered equipment. You will load/unload trucks, scan items with a handheld RF device, and replenish workstations as needed.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and familiarity with material handling tools. Standing for long periods and lifting up to 70 lbs are part of the job; a forklift/pallet jack certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Material handling experience preferred
• Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts and order pickers a plus

Pay: $18.50/hour + 1.50 shift differential

Job Summary

Supports Operations by moving materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility with a variety of powered industrial equipment.

Essential Job Functions *

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

• Hand-held RF Scanner, manual/motorized pallet jack, Powered Industrial Equipment

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Physical Demands

Material Handler: Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
