Job summary

The Hillman Group in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Material Handler to move materials and finished products using powered industrial equipment.

You will operate pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and a Drexel, load/unload trucks, receive and inventory materials, and ensure timely replenishment to workstations.

A high school diploma or GED is required; forklift certification preferred; strong attention to safety and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Material handling experience is strongly preferred
• Forklift Certification required
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manager

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Environment

Material Handler Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Physical Demands

Material Handler Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
