Job summary

Hillman Group in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Material Handler to move materials and finished products using powered industrial equipment. This role supports operations across receiving, storage, and production areas.

The position requires standing up to 8 hours, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and forklift/pallet jack operation certification. Overtime may be required; schedule Monday–Friday 2:00 PM–10:00 PM with possible Saturday overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in material handling preferred.
• Ability to operate pallet jack and forklift.
• Familiarity with RF scanners is a plus.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered, industrial equipment to move materials and finished products.
• Load and unload trucks and transfer products to designated areas.
• Use hand-scanner/RF scanner to track items and locations.
• Move materials to replenishment points at workstations.
• Stock and pick products, ensuring correct locations and quantities.
• Keep work areas organized and maintain safety procedures.

Job Summary

Supports Operations by moving materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility with a variety of powered industrial equipment.

Essential Job Functions *

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Material Handler: Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
