Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking a Material Handler II for our Central Warehouse in the United States. The role involves moving materials, verifying part numbers, and performing inventory transactions using the G&W system.

Responsibilities include unloading, storing, routing materials, fulfilling orders, and operating forklifts and pallet jacks. Prior forklift certification is required, along with a high school diploma and 1–3 years of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Holds a High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development.
• Must have 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment ideally.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to operate powered lift equipment such as forklifts and stackers and pass evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Unload, move and store a variety of materials, parts or products; conduct bin maintenance as needed.
• Unload incoming materials, check identification for quantities and part numbers; report shortages or damaged material; move to storage areas.
• Move materials between cells following routing, delivery tickets or orders.
• Fill orders from storage areas and warehouse stock and deliver to designated cells.
• Operate hand trucks and powered lift trucks to move materials and stack pallets.
• Load outgoing trucks using hand trucks or lift trucks.
• Accurately perform inventory transactions using the G&W business system; perform cycle counts as needed.
