Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking a Material Handler II to move materials between cells and the central warehouse, verify part numbers, and perform inventory transactions in the business system.

You will unload, store and route materials, operate PIT equipment, and ensure accuracy in counts and documentation. The role requires forklift certification, the ability to read Bills of Materials, intermediate computer skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Requires forklift certification and ability to operate PIT equipment safely.
• Reading Bills of Material is required for material identification and routing.
• Intermediate computer skills are necessary for entering inventory transactions.
• Must be able to work collaboratively to support manufacturing processes.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required; manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload, move and store materials between cells and warehouse.
• Check IDs for quantities and part numbers; report shortages or damaged material.
• Move materials between cells according to routing; fill and deliver orders.
• Operate hand trucks, forklifts and other material handling equipment to move loads.
• Perform inventory transactions in the business system and conduct cycle counts.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and conserve resources.
• Train others in material handler tasks as needed; inspect work before passing to next operation.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms as needed.
