Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Material Handler I to load, move, and store materials, perform inventory transactions, and support manufacturing operations in our Illinois facility. You will handle pallets, operate hand trucks, and ensure accurate material flow through receiving, storage, and production cells.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 0–1 years in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read Bills of Materials and interpret instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload, move, and store materials, and conduct inventory transactions in the system.
• Fill orders from storage areas and deliver to designated cells.
• Operate hand truck to move materials and stack pallets.
• Report shortages or damaged material and maintain Kanban status.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain a safe, clean workspace.
• Train others in material handler tasks as needed.
