Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking a Material Handler I for a 5:00am to 1:30pm shift in Romeoville, IL. You will unload, move, and store materials, verify identifiers, and perform inventory transactions in the business system.

Responsibilities include operating pallet jacks, moving materials between cells, filling orders, and maintaining a safe, efficient workplace while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• 0–1 year in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read Bills of Material and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Unload, move, and store materials following routing and documentation.
• Perform inventory transactions and cycle counts.
• Release Kanban and report late orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and conserve resources.
• Train others in material handler tasks as needed.
