Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Material Handler I for our Bolingbrook, IL facility. You will unload, move, and store materials, inspectidentifications for quantities and part numbers, and perform inventory transactions in our business system.

You will also move materials between cells, fulfill orders from stock, operate hand trucks and pallet jacks, and contribute to cycle counts and Kanban management. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and attention to detail in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• 0-1 years manufacturing experience preferred
• Able to safely use pallet jacks and other manual moving equipment
• Able to read and interpret Bills of Material
• Basic to intermediate computer skills
• Able to work collaboratively with others to support manufacturing
• Prefer prior warehouse or manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

• Unload, move and store a variety of materials, parts, or products
• Check identification for quantities and part numbers; report shortages or damaged material
• Move materials between cells according to routing and orders
• Fill orders from storage and deliver to designated cells
• Operate hand truck to move materials and stack pallets
• Load outgoing trucks using a hand truck or pallet jack
• Release and maintain Kanbans and report late orders
• Perform inventory transactions in the G&W business system
• Conduct cycle counts as requested
