Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Material Handler I in Bolingbrook, IL. The role involves filling orders, moving materials between cells, checking IDs for quantities and BOM numbers, and performing inventory transactions in the business system.

Responsibilities include unloading and storing materials, operating hand trucks, following Kanban processes, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Prior warehouse or manufacturing exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret Bills of Material.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills required.
• Must be able to work effectively with others in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Unload, move and store materials and perform basic bin maintenance.
• Check identification for quantities and part numbers; report shortages or damaged material.
• Move materials between cells or departments following routing and orders.
• Fill orders from storage and deliver to designated cells.
• Operate hand truck to move materials and stack pallets.
• Release and maintain Kanban status and report late orders.
• Accurately perform inventory transactions in the business system and conduct cycle counts.
