Qualifications

• Ability to read work orders or receive actionable instructions.
• Proven ability to meet productivity levels set by the company.
• Ability to plan and organize work, alone or with others.
• Knowledge of product and inventory control processes.
• Strong basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
• Experience with overhead crane or Hyster forklift preferred.
• Strong customer relations skills may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe methods of work and report unsafe conditions to a supervisor.
• Move steel to/from storage or production areas using hand, forklift, crane, or other devices.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying elevations and distances.
• Apply proper bundling techniques for loads.
• Configure loads based on route with multiple stops.
• Maximize load capacity safely and maintain equipment.
• Maintain space awareness and coordinate with others in busy areas.
