Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Holland, MI, 1st shift (7AM-3PM) is seeking a dependable Material Handler to safely operate forklifts, move pallets, and stock materials. You will follow safety rules, maintain accurate inventories, and support plant flow.

Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, basic English, and at least 1 month of related experience or training; HiLo forklift experience preferred. Join our ESOP-driven team and help us meet customer needs with urgency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications.
• One month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous material handling work experience preferred
• Previous HiLo driving experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Observes and complies with all safety, environmental, regulatory, and statutory requirements associated with this job description.
• Participates in needs analysis and attends and performs the requirements of scheduled training and educational programs identified for this position.
• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
• Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated area.
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.
